KOTA BAHARU, April 17 (Bernama) — Kelantan has declared a “cuti peristiwa” (occasional holiday) for Polling Day on Sunday May 5, which is a working day in the state.
Menteri Besar Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat said the holiday would facilitate voting by working people.
“It is not necessary for them apply for leave or seek time off to go and vote,” he told a news conference after chairing the weekly meeting of the state executive council at Kota Darulnaim, here.
