PAS to contest eight parliamentary, 30 state seats in Johor

PAS TO CONTEST EIGHT PARLIAMENTARY, 30 STATE SEATS IN JOHOR
JOHOR BAHARU: PAS today announced it would contest eight parliamentary and 30 state assembly seats in Johor, as well as field two
non-Muslim candidates.

The eight parliamentary seats are Pagoh, Parit Sulong, Ayer Hitam, Simpang Renggam, Mersing, Tenggara, Kota Tinggi and Pulai.

The state seats are Buloh Kasap, Pemanis, Tenang, Jorak, Gambir, Serom, Sungai Abong, Maharani, Sungai Balang, Sri Medan, Semarang, Parit Yaani, Parit Raja, Senggrang, Rengit, Machap, Mahkota, Endau, Pasir Raja, Johor Lama, Penawar, Tiram, Puteri Wangsa, Permas, Kempas, Nusajaya, Bukit Permai, Benut, Pulai Sebatang and Kukup.

Johor PAS commissioner Datuk Dr Mahfodz Mohamed told reporters that PAS vice-president Salahuddin Ayub would contest in the Pulai parliamentary and Nusajaya state constituencies, while state party Youth chief Suhaizan Kaiat would contest in Simpang Renggam and Kempas.

Mahfodz, who will contest in Gambir, said the two non-Muslim candidates were members of the PAS Supporters Congress.

Hu Pang Chaw and Kumutha Raman will contest in Ayer Hitam and Tiram, respectively. – borneoinsider
